Dr. Steve Collins

Dr. Steven Collins recognized the value of the early studies of Representational Research which he called “cutting-edge theology.” Collins incubated it at Trinity Southwest University, participated in it with his own academic publishing and curricula development, and has enthusiastically supported its growth.

He earned his Ph.D. at Trinity Theological Seminary and has done Post-Doctoral Studies in archaeology, theology and law, international law, Levantine ceramic typology and other fields. He is the author of multiple authoritative books including Discovering the City of Sodom and many peer-reviewed scholarly articles. He is a popular speaker who has appeared on television specials produced by National Geographic, Discovery, Travel, and History channels.

He is Director of Ph.D. Program in Archaeology & Biblical History, Veritas Evangelical Seminary, Executive Dean, Trinity Southwest University and its Dean of College of Archaeology & Biblical History. He is the Chief Archaeologist & Director at the Tall el-Hammam Excavation Project, Jordan.
